Even though it’s pixelated, low resolution, and minimalistic in detail, the atmosphere feels intentional and well crafted. The ambiguous pixel art makes things even more frightening because nothing is fully clear. Your imagination fills in the gaps, and that’s incredibly effective in creating fear factor.
The creature and entity designs are also quite fresh compared to most horror games. Especially with the cult and supernatural themes. Many of the monster designs are so odd they can’t really be explained logically.
Overall, the game can be comparable to FAITH The Unholy Trinity. And yes, it does feel similar. But not in a copycat way; more in the sense of sharing the same lowres religious/occult horror vibe that’s deeply unsettling.
